Dale Takes on the 20" Box!
Dale started at CrossFit North Mesquite's boot camp in April 2011. Upon completion of boot camp, he decided to join our regular CrossFit classes. Dale strives for excellence each morning at 5:30am! He posts workouts on his days off and even texts the trainers for travel wods when he is out of town! That is dedication!
Dale is determined to reach his health and fitness goals! He participated in FGB6 and earned first place in his division! Fitness Goal: 100 pounds shredded – this would put me at 190.
What is your athletic background? Played foot ball in high school and raced motorcycles
Why do you CrossFit? I was told about crossfit by my strategic business coach who is a big fan of crossfit. As soon as I tried it I knew it was for me. I was Impressed with the level of knowledge and integrity of Jami and Amy and how much they cared about their members. Everyone works together and encourages each other to do their best.
How did you feel about your fitness level before CrossFit? I was in the worst shape of my life. I had diabetes with an out of control sugar level was on a fast track to major health issues if not death. I was trying to work out at a conventional gym but was not really accomplishing anything.
How do you feel about your fitness level now? I have lost 40 plus pounds and lost six inches on my waste but I am still only about half way to where I want to be.
What do you consider the keys to your fitness success? Accountability to my business coach and to myself as well as to my CrossFit family.
How do you stay motivated? Accountability and the encouragement I get from everyone at Crossfit Mesquite North
Do you have any obstacles to fitness and health? I have an issue with my left shoulder that limits my range of motion and below my right shoulder blade. Due to nerve damage to my left shoulder I am also weaker in my left arm.
What motivates you to workout each day? How much better I feel and look now that I am getting in better physical condition and losing weight.
Favorite WOD or type of exercise: FGB because it really challenges me.
Least favorite WOD or type of exercise: Burpees
