Fiddlehead - Much like with mushrooms, not all ferns are edible and some are poisonous.

  3. Running the hot chocolate 15k this morning...wish me luck because I haven't worked out or ran in a week due to allergies and not being able to breathe. I'll collect my hot chocolate mug, but will not partake in the eating or drinking of chocolate. Good thing chocolate really isn't my sweet thing. ;)

As for vegetables, I'd try the Kohlrabi. Not sure why, but maybe because it looks the most normal. Although, I've tried nopales many times and love them!

    2. 15k in 1:17. Was aiming for 1:15, but considering I hadn't ran this week and allergies interfered with breathing, I was happy with my time. Looking forward to Monday when I can finally get back in the box!!!

    1. I've had the most luck on hot days in the frozen food section. If not there, there are a few nice bars in UpTown you could check out.

Nopales are for sell in the market in Mexico, with dry peppers and onions in tacos they are super delicious, I had romanesco long time ago not my first choice.

  26. I'd try the sunchoke! Mainly because I'd like to see what I can accomplish with it alcohol-wise ;) even if whatever I tried to make with it came out horrible, I'm sure it'd be worth the experiment.

  27. I've actually used celeriac a couple of times to make mashed "potatoes" and to make clam chowder. YUM! I actually just bought some sunchokes right before I read the list!! The recipe says that when roasted they are creamier than a potato will ever be, and the skins toast up nicely, creating a fabulous bit of crunch. I'll let you know how it turns out :)
