Day 1

Extrinsic motivation comes from an external source outside of you. For example, if your doctor tells you to lose weight for better health, then you will be externally motivated to go on a diet fearing the need for medication or being in poor health. If you go on a diet to fit into a dress or suit because you are going to a wedding or reunion then your motivation is extrinsic.

    My extrinsic goal is to enlarge my wardrobe by being able to fit back into the rest of my clothes! I refuse to buy more clothes!! I guess my other extrinsic goal is to maintain my budget then! Lol!!!

  18. Not in the challenge, but I'll chime in. About 1,520 of the 3,040 males 40-44 that beat me in the Open are my extrinsic motivation for the next year. Why not more of them??? Because I've gotta be realistic about my capabilities and time constraints. CF is great, but it isn't everything.

  22. My extrinsic goal is to lose my love handles i have going on. Get back down to about 220lbs. Didnt feel great this morning but had a mixture of bacon, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and eggs for breakfast. I will be out of town tomorrow so I will be prepping my meals to take with me. Will post my workout when I go to the gym later.

  23. Does wanting to look like a fit/strong bad ass count as an extrinsic goal? Because the thought of looking like a fit/strong bad ass is very motivating to me. Also, the possibility of a zombie apocalypse happening is very motivating. I'd like to be able to survive should one occur.

  34. My goal is to look like I gave birth to a human baby and not a baby elephant. My wod was good. I think I PR'd my fs 140# and I wrnt running afterwards 4miles. Bad idea....food was good I cook Sunday's and have breakfast and lunch ready for the week. I've just been slacking and hanging with people who have different goals lol

  45. Posted earlier but I wanted to post my wod. I did today's endurance but modified ring rows for push ups. Burpees-52, goblet squats-40, push ups-55, jumping lunges -42. I modified the main wod due to my shoulder. Did 2 sets of 20 power cleans and strict press at #95 for quality.

  49. I got a PR in the Front Squat today. I hit 235lbs, a 60lbs improvement on my previous best.
    I did the WOD today in 4:04 with a 95lb bar. I think I could've done better there. Didn't push hard enough.
    I missed doing breakfast this morning as I didn't prepare but lunch and dinner were quality efforts. I need to figure out a plan to down more water during the day. Only had 32oz before the WOD and got 32oz to close out the day.
