CrossFit Team Series part I is complete! Team Orange and Team Blue learned a lot about their strengths, weaknesses, and how to work well together! Read Jose's recap of Team Orange's experience!

Well for team orange there was not much of a strategy on the first event. Since I had judged team blue on theirs I knew what time they had and what we needed to do. It was tough but we went all out. The box step ups were a bit tough after rowing.

We did event 2 about 15 minutes after event 1. We loved that we had to do clean and jerks. As we were going through the WOD we were all killing it. Once our girls got into 95# it slowed down. Alma was struggling with them and missed on a few cleans. I could see the frustration in her face so I started trying to motivate her along with Liz and Steven!

The next day we tackled events 3 & 4. This was probably the worst thing that we did. We should have done these in different order I believe. These were challenging for our team. On event 3 we had 80-60-40 hand release push ups with 2 people on a deadlift hold then deadlifts. The biggest mistake we did was not practicing the way we were to rotate on the reps. There was so much confusion. Hand release push ups were not that much of a challenge but the deadlift holds and deadlifts were. This WOD took a lot of energy from us and at the end we just wanted to finish it. It took us about 21 minutes which we believe we could have done a lot better!

About 20-30 minutes later we worked on event 4 which was thrusters and pull ups. We all knew that Steven and I were going to struggle on the pull ups once we got into higher rep counts and that is exactly what happened. We all went through the thrusters like nothing (65#/35#)! The girls did awesome through out this WOD!

All in all Team Orange had fun with the WODs but believe that we could have done better on them. We are very excited to see what the next WODs are and hit them hard to improve our ranking!
Every 3 min  for 6 rounds complete:
100m sprint
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 air squats

 Post your time to complete each round. If you can’t complete a round decrease reps to 4-8-12 or 3-6-9.
