Coaches

Why do we coach CrossFit?
CrossFit is a belief that we own who we are and when we accept ownership we can change who we are.  This is what will take us to the next level of humanity:  health, equality, strength of mind and body, and if nothing else the ability to comprehend the possibility of all these things being possible.

Amy Hadsell– Coach
Amy is a CrossFit Level 2 trainer,  USAW certified Level 1 Sports Performance coach, and USA Gymnastics Safety Certified.  She holds a BS from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a registered nurse at Children’s Medical Center.  Her sport career began with competitive gymnastics as a child. After high school she turned it into a 15 year career of coaching competitive girl’s gymnastics teams.  As a gymnast and coach, she is no stranger to the aches, pains, sprains, strains and broken bones of an intense sport.  It wasn’t until discovering the functional movements of CrossFit and the power of proper nutrition that she realized waking up in pain was not a necessary part of the day.  Utilizing the functional movements of CrossFit and eating clean is how she stays healthy and helps transform others every day.

 Asa Hadsell, DC – Coach
Asa is a CrossFit Level 2 trainer and CrossFit Mobility certified.  He is also USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certified.  He holds an MPA and BBA from the University of Texas at Austin but is more recently a proud graduate of Parker University with his Doctorate of Chiropractic.  With his discovery of CrossFit he not only got into the best shape of his life, but he realized that traditional bodybuilding style working out was not “getting in shape” at all.  With Paleo his college day wrist and shoulder aches and pains disappeared.  Now he hopes to spread CrossFit and proper nutrition through Chiropractic as a DC with Functional Movement Chiropractic . He is the only full body Active Release Therapy (ART) certified and a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) chiropractor in Mesquite.

Andrea Cabrera - Coach CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. She has worked for 11 years with children and adults with disabilities, which is what keeps her motivated. Throughout that time, she learned not to take her health for granted. There are people who physically are unable to do daily living activities and would give anything to be able to do what we are able to do. She is inspired by people who face life everyday with a smile in spite of their limitations. CrossFit is for everyone and Andrea is a firm believer that everyone is capable of achieving their goals progressively at their own level. Before joining CrossFit Andrea was also a runner for 15 years and played soccer recreationally. Andrea is all about being cautious and not getting injured (that's why you can find her wearing her gear during WODs).  OH!  And she LOVES TO TRAVEL!!! :)
